Books as Liminal Spaces & A Playlist of New Music
plus recommended books by Veronica Raimo & Diane Williams, recommended music by Fust, and a 32-song playlist of new music
I was thinking about books this week. A friend was having outpatient surgery, and I read a book while I sat in the waiting room overlooking the East River.
Books are what I turn to in liminal situations. On my commute. In line at the grocery store. Waiting to go to dinner.
Books themselves are liminal. The book isn’t a destination, it’s a passage itself. A departure and an arrival, with many stops in between. An experience between covers to be discovered page by page. A world to be explored.
