Seems like wherever I look online, people are wondering about this year’s “song of the summer.” Pitchfork, NYLON, Esquire, the Guardian, the Philadelphia Inquirer, The Daily Beast… Billboard has even launched a “songs of the summer” chart.
My listening habits don’t change in the summer. I listen to what’s sent my way and what friends recommend. Much like my reading, my art intake doesn’t change with the seasons. Do I even have a “song of the summer?” Cola’s “Black Curtain” probably has been played most often around the house, in my headphones, and in the backyard than any other song this summer. What’s your “song of the summer”?
