I'm partial to the Uni Ball Vision Elite roller ball pens. Smooth but perfectly-controlled ink flow, frictionless writing experience. Plus, they're airplane-safe!
I write in pencil, very sharp, in big lined notebooks. I'm going to take my time on your links and features because they all look great.
usually go with Pilot G-2 gel pens. Mostly b/c I like them and they're easy to find in most places (Target, drug stores, Staples)
so they're the best of accessible mediocrity
For my own writing, I use a Levenget True Writer fountain pen with a stub nib. For writing on other people's work, I go with Blackwing pencils or 0.4 mm Pilot Hi-Tec Coleto (so many colors!).
As a book and paper artist, I totally feel the pen love!!
